APPLYING FOR A FULL-TIME COURSE
EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS
Find out more about our courses on our website. Come to a virtual or live Open Event and chat to staff and current students.
You can also explore your career option with Start.
Read the course details to make sure the course is right for you and then click on the Apply Online Button on that page.
We can accept up to three course applications so that you can check out alternative courses.
Once you have completed your application a ‘Thank you’ message will appear on screen, and an e-mail will be sent from Advice & Guidance.
We’ll check your application to make sure the course is suitable for you and meets your needs. We may arrange an interview (by telephone, online or in person, depending on circumstances).
Some courses may ask to see evidence of your work in the subject area (for example a portfolio for arts courses).
We may also require a reference from your school. You can download the reference form here, and email or post it to the college.
We’ll consider your application carefully and hope to be able to offer you a place. Your offer may be conditional on you achieving particular GCSE grades. If we think your first choice of course is not the right option for you, we will offer you an alternative and/or contact you to discuss your options.
You may have applied for more than one course and received offers for these courses. However, you may only hold one offer at any one time so please accept your preferred course.
ACCEPTING THE OFFER
The Advice and Guidance team will ask you to accept your offer through your applicant portal.
You will need to follow the instructions in the email to accept the offer. Many of our courses are in high demand,
so if we do not hear from you within three weeks we cannot guarantee to hold your place open for you.
WELCOME & INDUCTION EVENT
We will invite you to a Welcome and Induction Event, usually in late June.
This will give you an opportunity to get a head start with your new course.
We do hope to be able to host this event but cannot confirm the date at this time.
We will contact you to invite you to enrol some time between late June and August. Enrolling will confirm your place at Nescot. If your grades from GCSE or other exams aren’t what you hope for, we will offer you a place at an alternative level or help you find a different course.
Term starts in early September. From your first day at the college we will support you to succeed and fulfil your ambitions in education.
Nescot is a successful college and our courses are in demand, so we advise you to apply early.
Due to covid restrictions, we are unable to offer interviews at the moment. We will send you a conditional offer which means that you must achieve the entry requirements for your chosen course, as shown on the website.
For applicants who have already submitted their application you can access the applicant portal here.
