A recent Nescot student has taken his skills to the next level by competing in the WorldSkills IT Network Systems Administration Competition, along with degree-level students from 15 other countries round the world. Isaac, who was the youngest competitor in the event, finished in a very impressive 13th place after completing four demanding three-hour pressure tests.

Now studying for a degree in Information Security with the University of London Royal Holloway, Isaac is now well-placed to be selected for Team UK at WorldSkills 2022, to be held in China.

Isaac said: "The competition was tough, but I was really pleased with my performance. The whole experience has given me a real boost of confidence but has also confirmed to me where I need to work on my skills."

Isaac completed his Level 3 in Computing with Nescot in summer 2020.
